2 week doctor check up
Macy had her 2 week check-up today but in all fairness, she's almost 3 weeks old. Anyhow, everything went perfectly. She now weighs 8 lbs 4 oz and is 20.5 in long! The doctor said she seems more like a 2 month old than a 2 week old baby! She's healthy, strong and alert. Way to go Macy!

Happy Due Date ... Ha!
Well, today is the day Macy was supposed to be born! Instead she's 18 days old. So much for trying to predict a birthday!

Macy update
Macy just wants everyone to know that she has officially lost her umbilical cord. YAY! She's so grown up already!
Other than that, things are progressing perfectly. She eats great, sleeps great and poops great too! What else is a baby supposed to do?!

What a week!
Grandma came and played with us all week and it was so much fun! Not only did she keep smiles on all our faces, she helped immensely with all the household chores! I've never been so spoiled in my life! And the girls sure did love some quality time with Grandma:

Grandma and Anabelle had a picnic on the back porch.
Anabelle helped Grandma do the dishes!
Anabelle loved having Grandma read stories before nap time and bed time!
And all this action meant we needed a "cocktail time" every day!
On top of all this, Anabelle conned Grandma into lots of walks around the neighborhood and trips to the park. It was such a wonderful week, and we will miss Grandma so much. Now I'm a little nervous for the first full week on my own! Wish us luck. And thanks again, Grandma. You're the best!

10 days old
Macy is now 10 days old. I took her to weigh her today and she is already 7 lb 9 oz (she was 7 lb 5 oz when she was born)! The goal is to be back up to her birth weight by 2 weeks, so she is exceeding expectations, gaining weight and doing great!
