Driving 101

One of Anabelle's favorite things right now is pretending to drive. Let's just say it's a very good thing we have 15 more years to teach her how. Like a typical girl, she's more concerned with how she looks behind the wheel and doesn't keep her eyes on the road!

Macy is 1 month old

Wow, time is flying by!

Can you believe Macy is already 1 month old?! She celebrated by sleeping lots and eating lots too!

And then we celebrated Grandpa Bob's birthday with a trip to IHOP! Yummy! We even got a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry ... yes, for breakfast! That's just the way we roll!

Here's a couple of pictures from Father's Day at GG and Grandpa Bob's. GG put together a most delicious cookout!

And happy early birthday to Pa Watson! We can't wait to celebrate in person in a few weeks!

Sunny Beach Time

After a wonderful Father's Day breakfast of sausage, bicuits and gravy the family got ready and headed to the beach. The weather in Cleveland is great today. Really sunny and warm but a nice breeze. Now it is time for some mom and baby naps while dad watches some World Cup action. Then tonight a cookout with GG and Grandpa Bob. What a great Father's Day!

Sisterly Love

The girls are both doing great! Anabelle is doing such a good job as big sister and mom's helper! She loves to tell me when Macy is crying (as if I can't hear it!), she brings me Macy's blankie (even when it's 80 degrees out) and she loves to help hold her precious little sister!

We were having our own version of a photo shoot with Macy and randomly "put" her in a tree! I mean she does like being outside but maybe not in a pine tree! She's still pretty darn cute though, huh?!

Aunt Invasion

Anabelle and Macy's aunts from Louisville made the trip to Cleveland and it's been madness ever since. Just kidding, it has been great. Anabelle has been loving all of the extra dance partners. Mom and Dad have loved the extra hands to help sooth Macy.

2 week doctor check up

Macy had her 2 week check-up today but in all fairness, she's almost 3 weeks old. Anyhow, everything went perfectly. She now weighs 8 lbs 4 oz and is 20.5 in long! The doctor said she seems more like a 2 month old than a 2 week old baby! She's healthy, strong and alert. Way to go Macy!

Happy Due Date ... Ha!

Well, today is the day Macy was supposed to be born! Instead she's 18 days old. So much for trying to predict a birthday!

Macy update

Macy just wants everyone to know that she has officially lost her umbilical cord. YAY! She's so grown up already!
Other than that, things are progressing perfectly. She eats great, sleeps great and poops great too! What else is a baby supposed to do?!

What a week!

Grandma came and played with us all week and it was so much fun! Not only did she keep smiles on all our faces, she helped immensely with all the household chores! I've never been so spoiled in my life! And the girls sure did love some quality time with Grandma:

And all this action meant we needed a "cocktail time" every day!

On top of all this, Anabelle conned Grandma into lots of walks around the neighborhood and trips to the park. It was such a wonderful week, and we will miss Grandma so much. Now I'm a little nervous for the first full week on my own! Wish us luck. And thanks again, Grandma. You're the best!

10 days old

Macy is now 10 days old. I took her to weigh her today and she is already 7 lb 9 oz (she was 7 lb 5 oz when she was born)! The goal is to be back up to her birth weight by 2 weeks, so she is exceeding expectations, gaining weight and doing great!
